The Portuguese Society of Internal Medicine (SPMI) decided to annually award a prize called “SPMI Prize, Pedro Marques da Silva in Cardiovascular Risk”, in the amount of five thousand euros (5,000 euros) and sponsored by Bayer Portugal.
The award is intended to award research work in the field of Cardiovascular Risk.
In this first year, the prize will be attributed to the best oral communication, in the cardiovascular risk area, presented at the SPMI congress, in the amount of two thousand euros (2000 euros) and will be delivered in the closing session of the 26th National Congress of Internal Medicine, on August 30th. The work will be selected by a jury designated by the Board of the Portuguese Society of Internal Medicine.
